'Holograph'

Holograph discloses synergy between Turin and the ruins of past cultures. In this pictorial work Egypt and the Roman Empire merge.

Starting from the central side of the composition, a pencil drawing manually collaged, you can observe a modified architecture of the ancient “Porta Principalis Sinistra” which allowed access from the north to the “Iulia Augusta Taurinorum” (Roman civitas now known as Turin).

The pharaonic subject, performed with acrylics and dyes alludes to an element of victory/symbolic containment of the ancient atmosphere over the modern one, a concept that is metaphorized with ‘Braking Symbols’ term.
