Painting included in the set of artworks Ancient Grace and performed with different mediums on canvas. The subject’s face was drawn with graphite on paper and subsequently applied in the composition of the warrior’s body.

Work inspired by the legendary figure of  the classical Greek mythology. Achilles became a symbol of warlike power and vigor in life for the entire Greek culture, from the classial period until nowadays.

Achilles was not only the most valiant of the Greek warriors, but also yet another man who demonstrated the true sense of courage out of love, avenging the death of his lover Patroclus.
